Aging Well Advocates, LLC is a private, comprehensive Aging Life Care Management practice, serving older adults and their families in the Metro West area of Massachusetts, located in Franklin. Founded in February 2018 by Daniela Masters (MSW, LICSW, CMC), Aging Well Advocates was born out of the desire to provide a more personal touch to helping seniors and their families navigate the complex
challenges of aging. Daniela's philosophy for Aging Well Advocates is simple:
Provide unbiased support, guidance, and advocacy to ease clients' minds through what

Prior to launching Aging Well Advocates, Daniela earned a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Boston College, and went on to work with older adults and their families. With over 27 years of healthcare experience supporting our elderly population, Daniela's primary expertise stems from many years in Long Term and Subacute industry/Acute Care Hospital settings, as well as Adult Day Health.
Daniela has earned the Care Manager Certified (CMC) credential from the National Academy of Certified Care Managers (NACCM), accomplished through extensive training and seasoned experience working with older adults, people with disabilities, and families needing assistance with caregiving issues. Her passion for helping Seniors AGE WELL is Daniela's primary mission and one of the founding principles of Aging Well Advocates, personally and professionally.
Emily DeGroat is an Occupational Therapist with a wide range of experience in health care, from outpatient hand therapy to acute care and short-term rehabilitation. Over the last 11 years, she honed her expertise in Home Care, providing seniors access to needed resources and helping to maximize home independence. Her specialized care focused on home safety, administration of medical equipment, and management of medical conditions.
Emily earned her Master’s Degree in occupational therapy from Sargent Boston University, College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, where she also served as an adjunct faculty member, teaching clinical skills to occupational therapy students. She is bilingual in Spanish and has served as Director/Music Director of a bilingual drama club in a local elementary school for the past 7 years. Emily is thrilled to join the Aging Well Advocates team to continue the mission of helping Seniors navigate the aging landscape.
Melissa is a seasoned Marketing and Business Development professional with expertise in brand strategy, integrated marketing, and client engagement. A key driver of business growth at Aging Well Advocates, she enhances brand awareness and fosters community partnerships in the aging life care space.
With a Master of Science in Management from Simmons College and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Stonehill College, Melissa takes a strategic, results-driven approach to sharing Aging Well Advocate’s message of aging life planning guidance. Her background in financial services and retirement planning enables her to provide a comprehensive approach to aging adult communications.
Beyond her professional achievements, Melissa is committed to community involvement, having broad school fundraising and event planning experience through Parent Communication Council teams and Boosters organizations.
Passionate about connecting clients with the aging life care support they need, Melissa continues to elevate Aging Well Advocates as a trusted partner in the aging life care management field.
Amy is a dedicated Engagement Specialist at Aging Well Advocates, bringing warmth, expertise, and a deep passion for working one-on-one with clients. With a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development from Wheelock College and a Master of Arts in Career Counseling from Chapman University, Amy has built a career centered on supporting individuals through meaningful engagement and compassionate care.
Her expertise extends to dementia care, having completed the Alzheimer’s Association dementia training and certification. This specialized knowledge allows her to create personalized interactions that enhance the well-being of aging adults living with cognitive challenges. She is known for her outgoing, cheerful personality and ability to adapt to each client’s unique needs, ensuring they feel heard, valued, and supported.
Amy’s easygoing and accommodating nature fosters strong connections with clients and their families. She thrives in one-on-one interactions, taking the time to truly get to know each individual and tailor her approach to their preferences and interests. Whether providing companionship, engagement, or advocacy, she is committed to enriching the lives of those she serves.
